SportairUSA

SportairUSA imports the dashing and superbly-equipped StingSport S4 that has won a loyal following from American pilots. More recently, they introduced their TL-3000 high-wing LSA. SportairUSA is a full-line operation with maintenance and training, too.

Since it was first seen by Americans, then often called the "Carbon Sting" in a reference to its majority carbon fiber construction, U.S. pilots have loved the sleek and capable StingSport. With more than 500 flying worldwide, this airplane is well proven and improves on similar models in operation since the 1990s. TL-Ultralight, the Czech-based manufacturer, has produced approximately 1,200 aircraft.

In 2007, they introduced the TL-3000 composite high-wing LSA (upper photo) that maintains the sleek look of the StingSport. And in early 2009, SportairUSA added the greatly enhanced Sting S4.

Special Light-Sport Aircraft sold by SportairUSA come exceptionally well equipped with a standard equipment list strong on safety items -- an airframe parachute and seat-belt-based airbags -- as well as avionics such as the deluxe panel-mounted Garmin 496 GPS and the innovative Straight & Level button. Given StingSport's excellent performance and handling it is no wonder the company's motto, proudly stated, is "Fly Safe, Fly Fun!" It seems easy to do in a StingSport.

SportairUSA is the North American distributor for StingSport. The Arkansas-based business has established a dealer network around the U.S. and Canada that is able to show, sell, and service your new StingSport. In a time when Americans enjoy many Light-Sport Aircraft choices, those with the best companies backing them are destined to be the most popular with discriminating buyers. Based on its forthright business practices, Sportair USA should be seriously considered by any new customer.

Sportair USA -- Line of TL Ultralight LSA
At Aero 2013 in Germany, we ran into American Bill Canino owner of Sportair USA, the U.S. importer for TL Ultralights, maker of the Sting and the Sirius LSA. At Aero, the company offered their new tandem-seating Stream. Bill's company, Sportair USA, offers a wide range of aircraft and he gives us a view of his line, assembled through 38 trips to Europe. In this video we focus on all the offerings of TL Ultralights.
Zlin Aviation -- iCub Bobber (2013)
We've reported on the Zlin Savage iCub in the past. At Aero Friedrichshafen 2013 we captured a video on the Bobber, a sort of custom version of iCub that deliberately lacks an exterior finish but has other special finishing touches. It can be customized in dozens of ways ... much like a "Bobber" motorcycle thereby explaining the choice of names. U.S. importer Bill Canino helps us understand the thinking behind Bobber.
SportairUSA -- Broad line of LSA
We spoke with SportairUSA founder, Bill Canino, who represents a broad and varied line of Light-Sport Aircraft... all of which just happen to begin with the letter "S." We wanted to inform you about all these quality airplanes but we also wanted to ask Bill about all SportUSA's activities including their Arkansas FBO and a flock of interesting accessories items, some of which are available for other brands.

He is also now the chief R&D engineer for Tecnam, so the company benefits from the designer and his design. It will be sold in the USA by SportairUSA.

Communicating via an onboard wireless system, the aft seat occupant has an iPhone 4 for smaller but otherwise nearly identical instrumentation.
